Basics of Joinery - Three Joints Course Intro
I could use a bench like that. Only if i had 1/1000 of your skill and talent to properly put that bench to use.
I will not use that bench, it's too beautiful. It made me cringe when you laid that planer on top of it.
The most amazing bench i"ve ever seen. I would clean your shop floor with my tongue for an entire year, just to be taught how to make it.
Very nice woodshop and great explanation. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for a very clear tutorial.
Excellently done. You have a new subscriber.
and the dogs are so so so so nice
so,so nice
Very nice bench. It won't fit my small workshop though...
Great video. I missed such informative lessons on the very basics of woodworking. I am happy to have found this channel. Thank you.
This is the best video ever about hand plan. I've learned a lot, all details and tip. Thanks a lot!
Excellent video. As a beginner you gave me a world of information.
Awesome bench you do amazing work.. I was wondering if you had any videos on your bench and how it is made and some of the features it looks like it has a tool tray on the back I am in the process of making one of my own and like the way you make them thanks
Haven't seen anything as beautiful as this thing for a long time.
Wow, that's just enchanting :)
Wow! Nice slabs of maple.
thank you teacher!
Totally agreed about the lateral adjustment. An excellent introduction for those of us totally incompetent with hand planes!
What a beautiful piece of art!
Very well done and clear, thanks! If I may ask, given it is not too easy to tell from the video, do you actually lift the plane slightly when pulling it back, so to protect the blade? I think I read somewhere that otherwise the blade will become quickly dull, is that the case?
Thank you all for the comments. Yes it is a little too pretty to use, at least not until you manage to put the first couple scratches in it! Fine Woodworkers of South Carolina, I finished it with 2 coats of Deft Danish Oil. They no longer make the stuff but I have a limited stash of it.
Thank you for the great videos. What brand of chisels are you using if I may ask?
Fantastic.
But, but, but.... you put shavings all over it. It's too beautiful to use, I'd put that in my dining room. Best Wishes, Brendan.
I would proudly put that in my lounge...
Great work, Frank! I love how thoughtfully you integrated the new pieces while preserving the spirit and aesthetics of the original.
Beautiful, a piece of furniture, surely!
Its beautiful, I can see it being used as furniture. As a bench i would have to cover it in plywood to keep off the glue and chisel marks.
Wow!!
I am interested in having a Roubo built. How can I contact you to discuss particulars? You can reach me at vhatch312@cox.net
beautiful !!!
Oh man, I seriously covet this bench and envy the workmanship that has crated it. Well done sir, there aren't many who could achieve such a thing.
Did you use a finish on your bench? If so, what type of finish?
Absolutely stunning bench. I love everything about it, including the Benchcrafted hardware.
Really impressive work!
Gorgeous bench. I just completed a Roubo from borg pine. I can concur that the Benchcrafted hardware is amazing.
very beautiful bench
Beautifully made ostentatious bench, love it!
Very instructive. Well-explained. Thanks.
Great video. For beginners learning this technique I think it is important to remember to set your stones up in the same place and assume the same body position every time. By being consistent with your body position you will develop muscle memory more quickly and be less frustrated in your efforts. Another tip is to not obsess over keeping the bevel angle perfect. A slightly cambered bevel is fine and will not ruin your edge. So don't give up if you can't achieve the flat bevel Frank does, keep at it and your bevel angle will improve with practice.
Awesome workpiece by Frank Strazza! This is the kind of craftsmanship I aspire to in my woodwork.
Thank you for this video! In this world of machines, this handwork is very inspiring!
This is amazing! Beautiful joint, well done!
very good lesson about plane
Excellent presentation; a real teacher! I finally know the reason for and how to use the lateral adjustor!
V Ditto. Your eyesight must be awesome.
